The acute care hospital is expected to be built in two phases, with a first phase of approximately 186 beds. It will be a general community hospital with a full range of services including obstetrics, surgery, and general medicine. In addition, it will add a much needed emergency room to the area that will reduce the length of time to get to an emergency facility and to be seen by physicians.
The hospital will also have a helipad to allow for the transfer of patients who are in need of more specialized services such as trauma care, burns, or cardiac surgery.
There is also a planned second phase of the hospital that will allow it to add another 100 beds as the community continues to grow. It is hoped that by the time the second phase of the hospital is built it will be able to provide even higher levels of care to allow the area to receive care in its community.
